Related Facts

This drama was originally supposed to have actor Song Seung Hun play Gun-woo. However, a draft-dodging scandal involving Song Seung Hun broke out, causing him to enlist in the military service. On short notice, Yeon Jung Hoon was selected as Song Seung Hun’s replacement to play Gun-woo. That is why the Photo Album for this drama (which is on sale at YesAsia) contains photos of Song Seung Hun instead of Yeon Jung Hoon.

Synopsis

A New Style Love Story

There are many unsaid rules and wise sayings about love as well as about breakup. It’s true that most breakup scenes in dramas are a bit trite and cliché-ridden. For instance, it always rains when the story’s main characters break up. Oddly enough, even the one who gets dumped usually wishes for his or her ex-lover’s happiness even though he or she is completely heartbroken. How come every hero in the melodrama is as nice and sweet as an angel? What about something like this for a change - ‘I’m not going to let him get away with this.’ ‘I’ll chase her to the end of the world.’ Or ‘I’ll make him pay for my broken heart and pain.’ Even though a couple breaks up, there are still things left to be taken care of. They need some time to heal so they can later carry on.

A Contract Breakup

Many romantic dramas have used ‘the contract marriage’ (where the people aren’t really married, but pose as if they were) as its subject. However, this drama will introduce viewers to love and contract from the point of view of a couple that breaks up. She isn’t ready for letting him go when he wants to break up with her. He, on the other hand, has met all the requirements and is ready to put an end to this relationship.

The Dreams and Happiness of the Young Generation

The 40,000 young people are reported to be unemployed. Most of young people are looking for a job. They don’t have time to talk about their dreams or hope. This is the story of the young people who search for their dream, strive to achieve their goals and learn something about love and happiness.

Synopsis

Na Bori (Gong Hyo Jin) is a 25 year old woman who desperately wants to be a teacher at a high school she was kicked out of after a misunderstanding with her teachers about injuring a group of male classmates and was kicked out. After getting her GED, she rejects other job offers from other high schools and works on becoming a teacher at her old high school to work with her high school love interest, the art teacher Ji Hyun Woo (Kim Da Hyun). However, the only thing that enables her to get the coveted job is by signing a contract to essentially babysit Park Tae In (Gong Yoo), a troublemaker who attends the same high school. TaeIn, a lonely youth, quickly becomes the “jjang”, or “king” of the high school, and enjoys playing mean tricks on Bori. Noh Jemma (Choi Yeo Jin) is jealous of the relationship with Bori and TaeIn, and goes out of her way to get Bori kicked out…

Reminiscent of My Tutor Friend (http://www.mediacircus.net/mytutorfriend.html) and Sang Doo, Let’s Go To School, Bori is a feisty person, who, despite lacking the credentials, proves to be an excellent teacher. Although she initially wanted to be a teacher with her high school crush, she grows fond of her students and reaches out into their personal lives. Her students also come to trust her, preferring to call her in times of emergencies over their own parents. This drama has everything from dynamic, well-choreographed action sequences to interesting love triangles. Its comic relief is also grandly executed by the two leading roles, known for their exaggerated, comedic expressions.

Young Joon-hee befriends little Kang-hee, but the two girls get into trouble because of Kang-hee’s greedy mother. Joon-hee also makes friends with two boys, Dong-young, the son of a military general and Jang Bin. Believing his daughter to have died, Joon-hee’s father adopts Kang-hee and raises her as his own daughter. Joon-hee is discovered at an orphanage by Kang-hee’s mother, and is also adopted. Years pass and all four of their paths cross again, with complicated, destructive results. Duh-mi dreams of becoming a fashion designer, and petty criminal Jang Bin helps her move to Seoul to chase her dream. In the process he falls in love with her, but his feelings are unrequited.
